Techpole equips Jumbo supermarkets in Portugal

Payment machine and scanner Wall Mount

At Techpole we have designed and installed two point of sale solutions for the Jumbo supermarket chain in Portugal, which has 24 shops across Portugal. The solutions improve the ergonomics and efficiency of the point of sale.

The first solution designed by Techpole has the following features:

A 500 mm high pole.
A 250 mm long arm.
A Chip reader holder.
A Scanner holder.
An angled VESA stand.

The Chip reader holder is placed on the 250 mm long arm to facilitate the payment process with the customer. Both the scanner holder and the VESA stand are located directly on the pole. The other solution has the following features:

A 350 mm high pole.
VESA 75/100.

This smaller solution only has a pole and a VESA 75/100 to mount a screen. Both solutions have slots for cable protection. The installation of the solutions for the point of sale is simple, with 4 screws which are bolted to the surface on which it is placed.

The solutions are manufactured in the European Union.

When Aldi changed to the new Verifone P400 payment terminal, they faced the challenge of replacing 1800 terminals and their associated stands. Looking for an alternative to avoid the costly replacement of entire stands, Aldi turned to Techpole for a solution. Techpole proposed creating retrofitted backplates for the Space Pole terminals and stands, which would enable Aldi to utilize its existing stands. This innovative approach resulted in significant cost savings for Aldi.
